RULES TO PLAY CRICKET
Cricket is an international and globally known game. It is generally played in a circular ground called stadium. Cricket has some strict rules imposed by the ICC (International Cricket Council). The rules are associated to every individual player and complete team. The player and the team which violates the rules are strictly punished under ICC code of offence.
Rules:
• Game starts by player tossing up a coin and the player who wins, select either to bat or bowl.
• It is played by two teams and a team contains 11 players. A chance for substitute is available, if the player in squad gets injured in the match. It has two umpires and one TV umpire who enforces rules and makes decision on the spot.
• Cricket is played on pitch which is made of mud and its dimensions are 22ft long and 10 ft width. The wickets are places on both side of pitch that consist of three stumps, which are 28 inches tall and 9 inches wide with two bails placed on top of them. There will be pitch curator who takes care in making the pitch. The condition of pitch should be good and have even bounce.
• If the ball doesn’t touch the bat and batsman take the run then it is called byes and in case if touches the pad then the runs are considered as leg byes.
• The game has limit of certain overs for every international match the limit is 50 overs, 5 bowlers bowl 10 over’s each and complete the innings
